Reviews
Our curators greatly enjoyed reviewing your piece.
Your sculpture beautifully embodies its title, “Laughter,” by translating conversation into form. The triangular grouping creates a strong, cohesive composition, and the contrast between the whispering figure, the jubilant laugher, and the tense central sitter generates a dynamic rhythm and clear narrative. The lively, faceted modeling captures light well; we especially admired the attentive rendering of hands, knees, and bare feet, which give the group convincing weight on the bench. You strike a compelling balance between caricature and credibility—exaggerated mouths and tilted heads heighten emotion while the anatomy remains believable. Conceptually it celebrates communal joy and human connection; technically the execution in clay is confident and expressive, making the work engaging from multiple viewpoints.

'
Great little statue; beautiful and a bit querky, I really love it and can’t stop looking at it.'
Andy Kadivnik, Belgium
Toos Derksen
"I love the motion, energy, feeling, harmony, texture, the light and shadow…
You have it all
in a rhythmic dance of the Here and Now"
Paul Guthenberg, Canada
Luca Miniero, Roma
"Very nice sculpture."
Kun-Tan Huang, Taiwan

Chris Farr, Malta
